I hope that you will have a wonderful year, that you’ll dream dangerously and outrageously, that you’ll make something that didn’t exist before you made it, that you will be loved and that you will be liked, and that you will have people to love and to like in return. And, most importantly (because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now), that you will, when you need to be, be wise, and that you will always be kind.

Neil Gaiman

New Year’s Resolutions

  1. Drink more water and less caffeine.
  2. Get - and stay - on schedule with my bar review stuff.  Oh yeah, and pass the bar, too.
  3. Stop cursing.  (Okay, I don’t curse often, but even infrequently is too much!  It’s not lady-like.  I am also eliminating “gosh” and “OMG” from my vocabulary.  It’s just too close!)
  4. Do laundry weekly, rather than waiting until I am literally out of clothes and then having to devote an entire day to it.
  5. Be better about staying in touch with friends back home - call more!
  6. Get organized and get things done on time.
  7. Be punctual.  (This is definitely going to be the toughest.  It is, like, against my nature to be on time for anything.)
  8. Devote at least 30 minutes per day to reading the Bible and praying.
  9. Stop biting my nails.
